THE INSIDE STORY

Robben Ford inicialmente coloca a banda Yellowjackets reunida para fazer o seu primeiro disco solo, chamado The Inside Story, em Elektra Records. Esta banda, nessa forma, fez o registro, mas o tecladista Russell Ferrante foi o único cara que era livre de ir para a estrada com a Ford, assim Russ e Ford continuou a trabalhar em conjunto. O grupo ficou para trás junto outra vez um pouco mais tarde, e eles começaram a fazer shows localmente. Depois Ford sugeriu assinar com a Elektra, e já tinham feito o seu álbum com a banda, mas a banda não era? Não assinado. Ford já estava, naquele momento, começando a avançar para mais orientada para música vocal, e a banda foi uma banda de fusão. Fusão regras The Inside Story, que tem apenas duas faixas vocais, com o tradicional estilo Robben Ford. Instrumental Guitar (Electric / Blues / Fusion).
